THE ARCHITECTURAL INSPIRATION of Hogwarts. Yeup, the one from Harry Potter. |
Glasgow Science CentreInteractive stuff. Weird things. The Science Centre. A nerdy place for nerds to go nerd out after taking a physics test.

The COBBLER Of all the places in the world. This is one of my favorite. I'm not kidding. It's beautiful and so unbelievably picturesque that we just kept on relating it to scenes of movies and/or Disneyland because we've just never seen anything like it before...I guess many of the awesome things we have see are from the big screen, but not after this hike!
However, the true nostalgia of this hike in all it's glory lies in the company I had on this trek of treks. Dr. Yao, our amazing professor, stayed behind to help us (flat 9D- "the lag crew"). Half of flat 9D had no sleep the night before, and were really struggling up the mountain that the rest of the trekkers seemed to climb effortlessly. |
THis SPEcific picture (right) Is Worth more Than a thousand words. Why is it worth more than 1000 words? First of all, when I get to about word 100 I'd probably be repeating myself about what's going down in the photo. Yes, emotions are running high but still...a hundred words?!...not to mention a thousand, that's kinda excessive, isn't it? If it takes that many words, that means I'm probably failing to pick the right ones.
Second of all, just look at their faces...deep into their eyes. It's a priceless picture that speaks for itself. This is when Shannon, Torrie and Rahat (left to right) thought they had reached the top, only to find that this was just the half way point. It is for you to imagine what is going through their heads right now. PS Torrie is hiking on an unhealed/healing broken foot. She's cray. |

HOW DO YOU SOLVE REALLY HARD PHYSICS PROBLEMS?
ANSWER: EATING
Now the question is...where & what?
BrelBurgers?! They're good...but Brelburgers are better. Plus, there's fondue for two specials at this beer garden! If that doesn't buy your vote...maybe the charming outdoor seating will ;)
THE Squid and the WhaleIn spite of the restaurant name, nope...it is not a seafood place, but possibly the best Mexican food you will find in Glasgow. The place has a neat and casual atmosphere too.
The JUICE GARDEN You know how you get that once in a month craving for an Acai bowl and juice because you just had a toxic amount of chocolate from Tesco? Satisfy those cravings here! There was a bomb RAW COCONUT BROWNIE here. Is it still there? Well you'll have to go and find out, won't you?

Ashoka
The BOMBEST Indian food that you will find! Here...I discovered the TRUE meaning of curry.

GROSVENORGreat for brunch...they have Huevo's Rancheros and more! Movie Ticket + Meal Deals here too. This place has a heck of a high ceiling...I like it. I don't mean the sky (disclaimer: this picture is not the restaurant).
Nando'sThe person who owns Nando's is a sauce boss. Ate half a chicken here. It's a chain store, but in this sense it's good thing. The more the better.
The hANOI BIKE SHOPSo I got kinda sick before the final test for the first half of physics. None of my roomies were down for pho but I wanted it soo bad I ditched studying and waited 2 hours to get a loner seat.
Was it worth it? YES. |
This place is actually called THE CHICKEN PLACE...and yet it's not Nando's
So why the heck does this food place get a special section with no button and a custom drawn in picture?!
First of all...the sandwich was so amazing that I was too busy eating to take a picture (every time I was there...also we to-go-ed a lot). It's the great price and the oil that really distracted me. Couldn't think about anything else; I would just munch on that oily but not too oily crunchy outer skin, leading up to that juicy inner meat of the chicken sandwich and..the whole time I'd think of how it's basically like Chick-fil-a without all the controversy...and its cheaper..therefore more delicious.
Also, this place gets the special drawing instead of a picture because I guess I really took it for granted when I was there. I just went there so much...I mean, do you take a picture of your apartment at UCLA when you get back from lecture?! No (if you do...well I'm sorry I think you're an exception). Now do you kinda get my drift?
I'm NOT going to tell you where this place is. That would just be too easy. You have to work for the good things in life. Don't worry though, it's not that hard to find. Also it will be more exciting when you DO find it all on your own. I mean you could Google Maps it, but you will probably run into it quite easily (hint: while looking for coffee). Enjoy the adventure of exploration (of food especially) that you are about to embark on!
